The Kempen Tower is a project by the Foundation for Tower Builders. After the successful construction of the Flaes Tower on the Utrecht Estate in 2011, centrally located in the Kempen nature district, the idea arose to build another tower. This time on the edge of the Kempen nature district.

The Tower Builders found a suitable location in the Spoorpark in Tilburg. As one of the main innovations in the park, a tower was built with a view over the city, towards the Kempen nature district: hence the name ‘The Kempen Tower’. The original design of the Flaes Tower was not high enough to be placed in the Spoorpark. The Tower Builders made an entirely new design for the Kempen Tower, based on the design of the original tower. The Foundation for Tower Builders is a collaboration between the companies Aannemersbedrijf J.A. van Gisbergen, Gebroeders van Gisbergen, Reijrink Staalconstructie and Van Dal Houthandel. Luijten-Smeulders Architecten, Adviesbureau Tielemans Bouwconstructies, Pontifax, ASR and Ondernemend Hilvarenbeek are also involved in this project.

The tower in the Spoorpark is 37 metres tall. For a fee of 1.50 euros (PIN card only), visitors are welcome daily until sunset.
